In 1951, 52, 53 I was assaulted by a Nun.
She would drag me by my nose, hair, ear or whatever was handy.
She also had a habit of going ‘up longside my head’ and on occasion I had an untimely meeting with a Cross she wore around her neck. A BIG CROSS.
Yes, I informed people when it first happened but would ‘get it again’ the next time we met because I ‘carried tales home from school’.
After the 2nd time I decided it was not in my best interest to continue ‘ratting Sister out’.
However, when I got to Boot Camp in 1956, the gnarly Old Chief and his PO1 Assistant were no match for the good nuns.
They trained me well.
Between the Nuns and Allen Funt I learned to look around before picking up a bill from the floor, or when about to do something questionable.
