DUNCAN, Okla. - An Oklahoma woman who married her biological mother has received a 10-year, deferred sentence, according to KFOR.
Misty Spann pleaded guilty to incest and will be on probation with two of those years under the supervision of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
In September 2016, Misty Spann and her mother Patricia were arrested for incest.

This one has me speechless.

If the whole, “It is a civil right to be able to marry whoever you want” argument is supposedly Constitutional, then how the heck can incest laws stand?
That is what worries me. That may come next.
This same woman was previously married to her son.
You think wasting our tax dollars by putting these people in prison is the best use of our resources?

Seems to me we’re already there. If SCOTUS’ reason for making every state recognize and provide same-sex marriage is because it is a Constitutional civil right for every person to be able to marry whoever they love, then the decision is already made.
The only way these people could lose a Constitutional challenge of the incest laws is if SCOTUS reverses the rationale for the same-sex marriage ruling. Are they gonna go there?
To me, this story also represents the stupidity of TV news
First of all, they posted a pic of a girl named “Misty” but they referred to her as “Velvet”
Second, they talk about a marriage “being performed” with the girl - and with her biological son as well, but didn’t say by whom or in what context.
Agreed. I’ve been saying that for a while. It will stop when men start marrying their brothers to avoid inheritance taxes. THEN liberals will find their moral outrage again.

She was also married to her son, what if she had got knocked up by him? An incest, deformed baby is all we need.
