President Donald Trump announced last Thursday roughly $250 billion in deals between American businesses and China.
On his final day in Beijing, Trump and China's President Xi Jinping oversaw a ceremony in which corporate giants such as Boeing and Qualcomm signed multibillion-dollar deals.
"This is truly a miracle," China's Commerce Minister Zhong Shan said at a news briefing in Beijing.
Trump said Thursday he was looking forward to a change in the U.S.-China relationship.
"Discussing trade ... knowing that the United States really has to change its policies because they've gotten so far behind on trade with China and frankly with many other countries," he said. ]
"And I have great respect for you with that because you're representing China. But it's too bad that past administrations allowed it to get so far out of kilter. But we'll make it fair and it'll be tremendous to both of us."
This trip is what should have been dominating the news cycle the past 12 days - not all this other nonsense we keep yapping about.
The Democrat media was too busy paying accusers of Roy Moore and chasing down Donald Jr’s three tweets to Assange to pay attention to the President’s significant Asian trade/diplomacy tour. No wonder the media has lost all credibility.
It was great..And mutually beneficial.
I’m sure the MSM down played it.
No kidding!
That’s what USUALLY happens! PHOOEY!!!!
Congratulations to President Trump! MAGA!!!!
Newt said he did a great job. As a historian and therefore someone with a deep interest, I respect his opinion. He’s an honest broker.
There hasn’t been such a successful trip since Nixon went to China in ‘72, or maybe Eisenhower’s third world trip in ‘59. I have learned to respect Trump, but now I am amazed at his success.
