It’s not official science yet, but they appear to have type ii figured out. It’s caused by interrupting the fat storage cycle by consuming fast carbs through snacking. This leads to fat blockages in cells limiting insulin absorption. The solution to the problem is weight loss and not spiking blood sugar through snacking, this causes the fat blockages to dissipate. Low carb diets are quite good in this reguard.
I’ve read the same. I eat low carb vegetarian. I am obese by BMI standards and have A1C of 5.5 and Cholesterol is 140. Ketogenic diets - meat or vegetarian - work.
