Woman says Franken inappropriately touched her in 2010 (2nd accuser)
CNN ^

Posted on 11/20/2017 6:19:57 AM PST by TigerClaws

A woman says Sen. Al Franken inappropriately touched her in 2010, telling CNN that he grabbed her buttocks while taking a photo at the Minnesota State Fair.

It is the first allegation of improper touching by Franken, who is a Democrat, while he was in office. It comes just days after Leeann Tweeden, a local radio news anchor in California, said that Franken forcibly kissed and groped her in 2006, when Franken was a comedian.

Franken has since issued an apology to Tweeden and faces a potential investigation by the Senate Ethics Committee.

Weird Al isn’t the worst of them.

A Secret Service agent had his wife pose for a picture with then Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden grabbed the wife’s breast during the photo. The Agent actually shoved Biden and was suspended for a week. A ding in his permanent record.

A whistleblower came out with that story last week and the agents said it was Harvey Weinstein-level behavior from Biden.

I hope Al Franken fights to stay in the Senate as hard as he fought to get in there. He will remain as a monument to the hypocrisy of Congress.

Yes.

This thing reminds me of a program my ex-wife was going through at our church. She was learning about spousal abuse so she could be a lay counselor for victims of domestic abuse. Well, she would tell me about all the types of abuse she was learning about, from “white knight”, to “silence”, threatening to kill yourself, and a host of ether incredibly minor and, truth be told, standard human fare.

One day I told her that the only human being alive that did not violate their “abuse definition” was hung on a cross 2000 years ago, and the word “abuse” had been so diluted by them as to have no meaning on its own. That really, REALLY pi$$ed her off.

Our marriage went downhill from there, resulting, four years later, after 20 years, in her accusing me of being abusive and divorcing me.

I’ve said for a long time that if everyone had a camera following them around every second, we’d all be in prison. Every. Single. One of us. We need to cut people slack if we want to be able to function at all as a nation. It appears there are those doing their best to, in any way possible, gum up the works to bring us to a complete stand still.

All I did was point out the number of accusers! Didn’t say he was guilty!

(Though evidence for the first accusation...the Franken groping picture I mean...makes further accusations easier to believe. Whether that’s right or wrong, it’s just how we as humans perceive thinvs...)

It wasn’t addressed to you personally. I was just using your post as a springboard. :)

I’ve noticed that the number of accusers doesn’t always matter. The veracity of their claims is what matters. the accusations of the women that actually accused Moore of something LEGALLY inappropriate have been severely tainted. I think the left thought that instead of paying one woman $100,000, they could bay three women $33,000 each and get more bang for the buck. But people are wising up.

If you read the whole article, this woman told her husband, mother, and father about the incident the moment it happened. (The husband took the photo) and she posted it on Facebook as well, so she’s got a little more credibility that some of these accusers.

you’re kind of missing the point here

there is actually more evidence against Franken than there is against Moore, and yet Moore is gettign nearly 24/7 coverage.

The 3 major network ‘news’ stations spent nearly an hour EACH on it this morning.

are you missing the point that they are trying to destroy Roy Moore on MUCH LESS evidence?

Pointing out the HUGE double standard is what is important here

I haven’t watched a network news broadcast in many years. I suspect that’s true for many people in Alabama. The MSM is becoming increasingly irrelevant every year.

Oh no. I totally get that. That is the background information I’m basing my posts on. It’s why Franken apologized. There is solid evidence. The excuse used by the press to badger Moore is twofold:
1. They were underage.
2. He won’t apologize and fess up.

But if they are not true, we would not expect a confession. And if they were not underage, there is no crime here.

But the left will take two separate cases that are similar, find the difference, and use that nuance against the guy they hate. It’s how they do it.

Both accusations are so old that I could not care less that they happened. Give me an actual rape, murder, etc., with actual physical evidence and I’ll pay attention.

I’m really getting tired of the MSM playing National Enquirer all the time. I wonder if the problem is them, or the people that actually tune in and believe their nonsense.

I think my last post explained it (a minute ago). My whole point is that there is no actual evidence against moore. It is therefore an irrelevance to me. The franken case has evidence, but it’s irrelevant as well. Too minor.

We are in a political war.

Franken prevents Dems and msm from attacking Moore and then pivoting to Trump.

We need another dozen Dem and Rino scandals.

So far...

The media is lynching Roy Moore over quite shaky 40 year old incidents with no real proof. However, Franken is caught in a photo that substantiates the accusations against him and the media is scrambling to defend him. Utter hypocrisy.

Exactly.

A couple Concern Trolls on this thread.

We need the $15m Congressional slush fund list made public.

Well you scared me.

I'm not even talking about Moore but Franken. I do wish we lived in an "innocent until proven guilty" society, but alas that has not been the case for a long time...especially with public figures like celebrities and politicians.
