Give me some hard evidence or shut up. You look stupid.
I agree, this is going the route of "adultery of the heart" kinds of standards which everyone could be found guilty of. The media should immediately put some kind of standard on new allegations of sexual misconduct. Perhaps a 5 year statute on new allegations, the telling of a close friend at the time, proof of opportunity, etc.
Yes.
This thing reminds me of a program my ex-wife was going through at our church. She was learning about spousal abuse so she could be a lay counselor for victims of domestic abuse. Well, she would tell me about all the types of abuse she was learning about, from “white knight”, to “silence”, threatening to kill yourself, and a host of ether incredibly minor and, truth be told, standard human fare.
One day I told her that the only human being alive that did not violate their “abuse definition” was hung on a cross 2000 years ago, and the word “abuse” had been so diluted by them as to have no meaning on its own. That really, REALLY pi$$ed her off.
Our marriage went downhill from there, resulting, four years later, after 20 years, in her accusing me of being abusive and divorcing me.
I’ve said for a long time that if everyone had a camera following them around every second, we’d all be in prison. Every. Single. One of us. We need to cut people slack if we want to be able to function at all as a nation. It appears there are those doing their best to, in any way possible, gum up the works to bring us to a complete stand still.
