Cloning is against nature. There is a reason for SEXUAL reproduction. Cloning is not sexual reproduction.

Weakens the species.

Rubbish that sheep only live to be 9 or 10. Our Finnsheep - short-tailed sheep - lived and continued to lamb into early teens. The most likely reason the sheep mentioned had arthritis is that they probably suffered from a retro-virus (CAE)that causes arthritis among other things .

I found a reference I recalled that stated some of the first Tunis sheep imported to the US lived to be 16, but that was inaccurate. That was the age of the ewe when she had her last lamb. https://books.google.com/books?id=U2PTAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA22&lpg=PA22&dq=how+long+did+jefferson+tunis+sheep+live&source=bl&ots=YUTU8z0Xxr&sig=9C-Uo4eR8TtfaNSe3ROqMW6KnUI&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj6j6eHo9fXAhUkm-AKHQ1kCEkQ6AEISjAG#v=onepage&q=how%20long%20did%20jefferson%20tunis%20sheep%20live&f=false

Anyone who denies that another human being has a soul because of something beyond their control is not having a revelation. They are preparing to go into the mass murder business.

I can only control what I believe. But I can keep other people from acting on their beliefs when it comes to treating other people like property.

And anyone who runs around wondering if maybe another human does not have a "soul" and so they are not "really human" is laying the ground work for exactly that.

Talk to any pro-abortion person and they first start denying that the children are "alive". When you point out that their being alive is scientifically unassailable they quickly move to "but do they have a soul?"

Funny how people that do not believe in God suddenly decide that souls not only exist but are necessary to be human.

Clemson had to cancel their Christmas program this year.

They couldn’t find 3 wise men or a virgin.

I could see wanting to clone certain animals like champion race horses, to preserve unique genetics for breeding purposes, in case something happens to the original.

Considering that they will not even allow Artificial Insemination with race horses I can not see them allowing cloning.

[[There are no miracles,]]

Well i certainly and wholeheartedly disagree with that- and we coudl get into a debate about irreducible complexity- but I’d rather not go there-

I certainly don’t know much about scientific issues- but A question popped up in my mind when reading- “Wit cloning, how do we know it doesn’t alter some low level information/system? It’s supposed to be ‘an exact copy’, but are we sure it’s a 100% exact copy? Are we mucking with something that we don’t fully understand? Agaij I’[m no scientist- but I wonder if each person is born with a required UNIQUE set of information/information subsystems or whatever. IF so, what unique problems might arise by doing exact copies?

As you mentioned- the consciousness- A I asked above- I wonder if each person is created with a requirement that they differ from all other humans- what kind of problems might arise if they are an exact copy consciously? or even subconsciously?

[[Most people don’t even think of all the questions, let alone seek answers.]]

Exactly- that is my worry too- me tried to build a structure to reach into heaven- God allowed them to build it just so high- and then He said ‘enough is enough’ and stopped it cold- in the case of man playing God- or attempting to at least- we are getting into areas where we are NOT omniscient- we see as through a smoky glass- and are delving into areas that ethically should be off limits in terms of human trials simply because we aren’t omniscient and don’t know what kinds of monsters we might be creating

[[science is the process of figuring out how God works.]]

It should be- but sadly many don’t see it that way- they believe science is about finding out how nature accomplished it- Robbing God of any authority and power in creation (Not all scientists do such=- but many do)

I'm not discounting the events that we perceive as miracles as not being real events. Nor am I discounting the events as described in the NT of the Bible as miracles. I'm just saying there is a higher level of understanding that is beyond us.

"Clemson had to cancel their Christmas program this year."

They cancelled the re-enactment of the Battle Of Fort Blakeley because no-one would volunteer to be Yankees.

And while the answer is God, science is the process of figuring out how God works.

Pure heresy. No science, no person will ever "figure out how God works.

There are no miracles, it’s just science that we do not understand currently.

More heresy! I guess you don't believe in Christ's Resurrection, nor His Ascension into Heaven.
