The Archbishop of Canterbury says he doesn’t understand why so many Christians in the U.S. support President Donald Trump.
Justin Welby told ITV’s Preston on Sunday program that he “really genuinely” can’t comprehend why fundamentalists have provided such a strong base for Trump.
Welby did say he would be willing to attend a state dinner in Trump’s honor if the president comes to Britain on an official visit. …

Well, we all know that the old Archbishop never has been the sharpest knife in the drawer. There are probably a lot of things he doesn’t understand. Things like working for a living, paying taxes, etc.
Not so difficult, take off your liberal glasses and ear plugs, actually listen to his speeches and look at his actual actions (and not the characterizations of them.)
Amazing how much effort they’ll go through to understand someone suffering the delusion that they are a different gender, yet exert absolutely no effort to understand the viewpoint of another in a political sense.
Once again Americans must tell the Church of England to *buzz* off.
The archbishop is a derelict reprobate. He’s also surprised at Christians following the real Biblical Jesus, so the archbishop’s unworthy of a second thought.
Evidently the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury are engaged in some sort of contest to see who can say the stupidest things.
Score one for the Archbishop today.
Essentially Welby is an empty suit. He is spineless milquetoast who takes his orders from the popular wind. He's also a squishy "people pleaser" who can't say no to anyone, neither the traditionalists and evangelicals on the one hand, nor the gay flamer newagers on the other hand.
He tries to please everyone, and can't please anyone.
On behalf of the Archbishop, how much of his impression of Pres. Trump is based on what the media wants people to believe about Trump?
As opposed to Christians supporting Barack Hussein Obama, raised by 2 muslim fathers, an agnostic mother, a unitarian grandmother? He said that Jesus was a historical figure and not the only way to salvation. He also said that sin was anything that went against his values (but he also said that he evolved on same sex marriage so I guess the definition of sin in Obama’s world is ever changing). Or he’s a lying atheist Marxist. Whatever, pick one.
I’m baffled by his supporting women priests, gay marriage and a dual system of law in UK to include sharia courts. But that’s just me.
