If she came across “talent”, she was influential and could maybe steer vulnerable women who didn’t yet have an agent directly to “my producer friend”, Pervy. I mean, Harvey!
Or to other Hollyweird abusers, and in return get favors of recognition, the right parties and awards and boards, etc.
As someone said, it would essentially be acting like a madam, even if she didn’t get direct kickbacks. Interesting to think about.
