Moving to Columbia in two weeks,Waffle House at Two Notch Road (US1) makes excellent grilled chicken salad—friendly staff. It'd been years since I "boycotted" WH, as smoking was permitted inside.

Several years back, a huge tire and wheel off a semi running down I-81 parallel to the local IHOP came off and rolled down the interstate, bounced over the chain link fence and crashed through the front window of the restaurant.

Somewhere I think in NC there as a waffle house on both sides of the interstate at the same off-ramp. Can’t remember exactly.

Happened to me the other day. In traffic I see movement in the air, I look at it, it’s a tire with a rim in it. It seems like it’s like it’s 50 feet in the air, falling hits the ground and bounces high again. This time it’s headed towards me. Crap! I swerve it hits just to my right then into a culvert. Whew.
