Question about the "FBI Process Crimes" - Hypothetical

A false statement to the FBI (any federal officer or agent, actually) is a crime, but only if it is relevant to something within the agency’s jurisdiction.

I agree whole hardedly...real story during one federal grand jury the prosecutor was asking a “witness” questions..he repeatedly went outside talked to his lawyer before answering then they threw a ridiculous question at him and he angrily replied no...the indicted him for perjury on that one question to tie him up from being a witness for other defendants..he was found not guilty but their sneaky plan worked.
