With the holidays now upon us,Cenpatico Integrated Care (Cenpatico IC) is offering helpful advice to handle the stress of the season.
While this is usually considered a happy time for most people, the season can be extremely difficult for some. It is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed because there is so much to do. For others, this can be a challenging time due to economic problems, the recent loss of a loved one, or other issues. This time can lead to feelings of sadness, loneliness or depression.
Here are some steps that can be taken to help overcome the holiday blues.
· Take time for yourself While youre trying to get so much done for everyone else this holiday season, dont forget to take some time for yourself. Spend an evening with a good book or quiet music instead of watching television, and give yourself a break from the hustle of the holiday season.
· Dont worry about how things should be Comparing yourself to an ideal version of a perfect family or perfect holiday is not realistic. People from all walks of life have stressors to manage.
· Avoid overindulging Overindulging in sweets and alcohol will add to your stress and guilt. Try having a healthy snack before your next holiday party, remember to get plenty of sleep and incorporate regular physical activity.
· Volunteer Many social service programs need volunteers during the busy holiday season. Participating, even if only for a few hours, can be a good way out of the doldrums. Helping people who are in need can be a rewarding experience.
· Budgets are helpful Plan ahead and make a list before you go shopping for gifts or food. Decide how much you can afford to spend, and then stick to your budget.
· Seek help If feelings of sadness, loneliness, or depression persist, make an appointment to see your doctor; you could be experiencing a seasonal pattern, or a biological or psychological challenge. This time of year can be difficult for many, so be kind to yourself.

How about this tip? Meditate on the love of the Nativity.
I take L-theanine supplements daily. It is an amino acid that can calm you down and mellow you out without any side effects that I can feel. Amidst irritating co-workers or obnoxious family members I am just about oblivious but alert with heightened situational awareness. Been great for my putting too.
I’m not a stress recipient, I’m a stress donor...

I find that torturing leftists is very therapeutic. Look for stickers on their cars to identify them. Then mess with them. Pass them, and hit the brakes. If you can block them behind a dump truck, thats always fun. Especially if the dump truck has loose stones falling off onto their windshield. Whatever it takes to destroy their day, cheers me right up!
My tip:
- Stay away from people who live for stress and use holidays to “share” this gift with everyone they know.
There are all types of people like this. But the most common these days is the liberal relative who has dedicated their life to “being stressed” until Trump leaves office. There’s no specific reason or issue or action, just that “being stressed” will fix things. And the more stressed they can be (about anything), the more they are helping to rid the country of Trump.
Beat me to it.
Remove yourself from the commercial aspect.
Tips for coping with the holiday stress
I thought drugs and alcohol were the preferred method, did I miss something?
L-theanine...is there any particular brand you like?
I PLAY OLD CHRISTMAS HYMNS, For me it’s “SEASONAL GRIEF” that hits me, starts in Oct last till Mid Jan.
I don’t need some Libtard ‘councelor’ giving me their crap advice.
I’ll take it to the best ‘COUNSELOR’ IN PRAYER, GOD.
Hey Mr/Ms DepressedAtChristmas, Christmas isn’t about you. Go to the Ronald McDonald House and cook a meal for the families staying there while their child is in the hospital. Go visit some elderly people. Babysit some kids so their parents can shop and have dinner. Go ring the bell for the Salvation Army at Walmart.
I love Christmas because my family loves Christmas, even though they are 2.5 hours away. My sister hates Christmas because she “doesn’t have any family left”, especially the ones 10 miles from her.
My MIL hated Christmas because she couldn’t bear the thought of people being happy after her mother died. What is wrong with people?
What Mr RooRoo and I do that helps us have a joyful less stressful Christmas:
—take Grandson to traditional fun events: Christmas lights at the zoo, ride the Polar Express Train at the Grand Canyon, go see The Nutcracker, etc
—Mr RooRoo and Grandson always make a gingerbread house and decorate Christmas cookies together (that’s actually a little stressful for me since they make such a mess LOL)
—Mr RooRoo and I only buy gifts for each other, daughter, and grandson. That’s it. HUGE stress reducer!!!
—No more sending out 50 Christmas cards in snail mail, at most I would get back 6 in return
—We ALWAYS go to a Phoenix Symphony Messiah concert. It’s hard to describe the thrill and bliss hearing this sacred music live and standing for the Hallelujah Chorus.
—No matter what, ALWAYS go to Christmas Eve mass, the sacred Christmas music is a joyful annual tradition, brings great peace to my heart.
Lol!!
WINNING!!
General Mattis, is that you?
Nope.
