A lot of this “transgender” crap is liberalism’s mantra in its purist form:

* how you feel defines morality and reality

* the person with the most intense emotions is the most correct and to be believed/accommodated

So really feeling like a woman makes you a woman, and the more exotic and/or insane person is the one who wins any argument.

The transgenderism is also driven by liberals who want everyone to be totally equal. If we can act like men become women by changing clothes and saying so or pretend massive doses of hormones and surgery are nothing, now you can’t argue there are differences between the sexes, everyone is just as interchangeable in bed and any other social role.

They think that saying mentally ill women with mastectomies are men giving birth liberates women from the stereotype of being “mothers”.

They think that bullying lesbians, many of whom were raped and abused by men, into having sex with biologically intact mentally ill men is reasonable, how dare you ignore the more exotic, oppressed person. It is called the cotton ceiling.
They think that fairness mandates having sex with everyone who wants to, so straight guys are morally obligated to have sex with homosexual friends, homosexual men with women identifying as men.

If you break down those “barriers”, everything becomes the free love sex fest ... and liberals think destroying those social barriers is liberating. Atomizing the individual and saying they cannot say no is perfect when you want a tyranny.
