Look I’ve seen other videos on youtube from parents who have kids with this and have tried it and it worked. when all else fails and you have a kid who is screaming like a banshee and can’t be calmed can’t see why this can’t be tired? Have nothing to lose.
Only other thing I have seen on youtube that has had some success is medical marijuana.
I use Web MD quite often for a quick reference and I was very surprised to find that of the 33 respondents using EDTA for various diagnosis, including heart disease, they gave it a 4.89 rating out of 5 being the highest, that it worked. Astonishing to me. But if it works, go for it.
If the treatment is harmless and has potential benefit, go for it.
I’m not saying it doesn’t work. I am saying that quacks are using this to milk $$$ from their patients. It is a low cost, low risk treatment that appears to work.
I have also noted a strong correlation between proximity of one of the parents and child behavior. Often, get the parent out of the room and the child calms down.
This is especially true in toddlers.
For many years I did children’s literacy programs for schools and preschools. Often I was inside a storybook character costume making it easy to see the children’s responses to me.
It was interesting how often the children were quiet, all smiles, and super friendly with me as Winnie the Pooh and then screaming as soon as the parent walked into the room.
The most rewarding time ever was doing a secondary ed special needs classes. I have never been hugged so hard in my life. Just looking out through the small openings in the costume head into the children’s eyes brought tears to my eyes.
