Racist trees will not be tolerated by the bureauweenies running Palm Springs, California, who righteously proclaim that as soon as they find the money to do it, they will remove a row of tamarisk trees that serve as a barrier between the Tahquitz Creek Golf Course and a historically black neighborhood:
Many longtime residents of the neighborhood previously told the (Palm Springs, Calif.) Desert Sun they believed the trees were planted for racist reasons in the 1960s, and remained a lasting remnant of the history of segregation in the city.
Removing the racist trees will cost at least $169,000.
But dont the residents also benefit from the barrier? They dont want golf balls flying through their windows, do they?
Never mind; the angry blacks have thought of that:
Residents, led by real estate agent Trae Daniel, who moved into the neighborhood 14 years ago, have made four demands of the city. They include: removing the trees; building a 6-foot privacy wall for residents who want it; installing netting or something similar to prevent errant golf balls from flying into residents yards; and planting new trees similar to those seen along other parts of the course.
Looks like this is going to cost taxpayers more than $169,000. But it will be worth every penny to combat the microaggressive menace posed by racist trees.
White birch trees?
Golf balls are white. Racist.

Trae Daniel was on the Tucker Carlson show tonight. Tucker tore him up.
Good luck removing that tamarisk. That crap is a weed and it doesn’t go quietly. The “bureauweenies” might want to rethink this waste of money.
But but but...the trees were green!
Could be worse. They could be Cottonwood.
Oh, having a 6’ wall for some and not others will look just GREAT!
And then the netting, yes, who wouldn’t want that instead of mature but racist trees?!
There is nothing golfers love more than going out on the course, to relax and gaze at trashed out buildings, unkempt back yards, and junky cars up on blocks.
Read the article you posted
I think Id rather see trees than a brick wall, but that is just me.
Tamarisk is a noxious weed and is required to be removed in some parts of the country.
The club should replace it with something nice, but still block out a bunch of nasty houses.
The real estate agent is trying to get a golf course view he never paid for...I would put up a 8’ wall too!
Re “Some” people and Trae (if that’s his real name: I suspect it is Tree-hater), should pay all the costs for what they “demand” be done to the trees.
You want them removed, pay of it.
You want a wall, call President Trump.
You want knew trees - Home Depot is that a-way.
And as for netting, try your local fishing store.
As for the “grass”, it is green. Therefore it is a commie “plot” by the Green Party, Jill Stein and Moscow (they call it “collusion”, to make all golf courses use “red grasses”.
Hey Trae. People with that name have in the recent past ended up dead, in jail, thrown off of teams, and sent to remedial spelling classes. Pick one.
Last time I was there, it was mostly homosexuals of both sexes. Hardly a non-white face to be seen.
Did I really the /sarc tag? Besides am shock the earth first bastards were not out when the trees get cut.
Watch the video on golf.com
Trae could not grasp anything you say because he’s a touchy-feely Progressive.
Tucker told him he was a tree hater and that he was going to be a tree murderer. Lol
Tamarisk trees. They look like gigantic shrubbery.
It took me some time, earlier today, to track this down in Google Maps, because of the sprawling layout of this golf course. It was only an aerial shot from one of the news articles that finally pinpointed it for me.
There's a unique history to this. This "neighborhood" is very small, and the offending trees run along the back of about 20 houses in a straight line. On the other side of the fairway are houses which I presume were built much later in conjunction with the golf course, and they are not as close to the fairway, by the look of it, so there may be complications!
The "neighborhood" I refer to is the "Crossley Tract", built in the late fifties. You could look it all up.
Just where it this negro community that is so touchy about trees?
