Neighbor charged with setting fire to Leominster house (Mass.)

LEOMINSTER - After their futon caught fire, Paul Legere and his fiancee, Rosemary Allen, wondered whether they’d left something near it that started the blaze. After another fire in their house nine days later, they had a different suspicion. And after a third fire this week, they were in court to see a neighbor facing an arson charge.

She allegedly admitted to police that she’d let herself into the Legere home Monday and used a lighter, which she later gave to police, to ignite a piece of carpeting.
