The final version of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, passed Wednesday by the House and headed to President Donald Trumps desk, will still allow illegal aliens to claim a lucrative child tax credit.
After immigration hawks in the House included a provision to require Social Security numbers (SSNs) for tax filers claiming the Additional Child Tax Credit, the language was significantly watered down in the Senate. The final version appears to allow even more illegal aliens to claim credits. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, however, still represents a major improvement over the current tax code, which allowed full utilization of child tax credits by illegals, even for children who were themselves illegal aliens.

Fix it later.
Rubio is the one who fought for this.
This is what he demanded for his vote.
Whatever. Most here would rather grill Freepers who claim to be losing money because of this tax shell game than non-taxpaying individuals getting larger “tax” refunds.
This is why Ryan and McConnell were so happy. They know there are significant number of poison pills in this bill that protect illegal aliens and punish working Americans. It’s what they love.
I’m confused.
Someone can come here illegally, live here illegally, and then they PAY TAXES on their income?
And qualify for TAX CREDITS?
So the govt acknowledges their presence by accepting taxes and lets them stay?
Is this true?
We only got about half of what we wanted. But given the size of the free labor express crew in the GOP ranks, we did very well. Kick guys like flake out, McCain will be gone soon, and we’ll put together enough people to fix the problem.
The IRS gives illegal aliens ITINs, Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, so they can file without a SSN.
Most don’t actually pay any taxes, but they collect billions in checks every year.
Thanks. Research begins...

I don’t believe that any person that is not paying income tax or very little should be getting a tax refund at all. I know people who pay in very little and get $8 to $15,000 back.. This hurts really hard working middle class and Seniors who pay income tax.. Do away with low income tax credits.. They want more money earn it..
Excellent analysis
