Probably.

But some of the Revolutionary War encounters were more confusing than dangerous. Henry Livingston enlisted as a Major in the 3rd NY in 1775 and kept a diary of his group invading Canada. He writes about engagements that were less than engaging.

Anyone facing Washington probably put up a MUCH bigger fight.
