Although any .375 magnum would certainly be sufficient.

NO NO NO! Mama would kill you most painfully and she and the adorable cub would eat your body. However this must be an old stock photo as Al Gore assured me some years ago that by 2017 all the polar bears would be dead.

Really? So a gun designed and routinely used to take down the biggest and baddest in Africa isn't sufficient for brown and polar bears? Please explain.

You hit that bear with a 357 it will bleed out and die eventually. Before it does, it will kill you unless you make an incredibly lucky shot.

Are you talking about a .357 magnum or a .375 magnum? I'm not talking about a .357 mag. I'm talking about a rifle in .375 Winchester Magnum, .375 H & H, .375 Remington Ultra Magnum, .375 Ruger, or .378 Weatherby Magnum. These rifles are capable on elephant, rhino, and cape buffalo. They will handle the giant bears without the shooter having to have luck.
