“They already have a name for a water only diet, it’s called starvation.”

Actually starvation is different from dieting, and is different from fasting.

Starvation happens when you run out of usable fat...then your body will start eating muscle. People tend to confuse that with fasting, when you’re simply converting fat into Keytones...something that can be done indefinitely as long as there is sufficient fat.

Sad though, many, many, people could loose massive amounts of weight if they only understood the difference between starvation and fasting.

Wrong.

Fat is metabolized by the TCA/Citric Acid Cycle.

Oxaloacetate is required in that chemistry.

Where does oxaloacetate come from when a carbohydrate source isn’t available?
