Policies which enrich the people who own the media will always been lauded as wonderful and great, and policies which interfere with the owners of the media getting wealth, will always be degraded as horrible.
The media puts forth "news" that benefits those people who control those companies. If that requires making a worthless no-accomplishment black guy into a "admirable" person, then that is what they do. They did the same thing for the despicable white guy Bill Clinton.
I have come to the opinion that this control of the narrative has been going on since the Civil War, and for the exact same reason. It benefits wealthy interests in the North East.
