Aloha Snackbar?
Russian Amish ?
No, obviously it was the Blyat crowd.
How much TNT is 200 grams?
“Huge” explosion? Seven grams of TNT? Might blow the doors off the locker, but not exactly an A-bomb.
7.14 ozs.................
Enough to blow up that market.
7.14 ounces, almost half a pound...............
I know I’m asking dumb questions. Trying to visualize the size of the charge relative to something like, say an M-80
About 7 ounces.
While I would not want to be standing near 7 ounces of TNT when it exploded, I suspect the characterization of the explosion as “huge” may be a slight exaggeration.
Almost half a pound.
Think about half a pack of hot dogs..............
Putting explosives in tight containers multiply the force of the explosion...................
Got it. Thanks!
Most likely Mohammedans.
By my very rough calculations, the ignition of 8 oz of TNT would release 1.046 x 10^^6 joules. What that translates to in terms of destruction would depend on whether the blast was directed, contained, near a structural element, surrounded by shrapnel, etc.. It’s not likely to bring down a building, but it could maim and kill, just perfect for the budding jihadi.
From what I read, it was in a ‘storage locker’ and surrounded with ‘projectiles’......
Oh, it is St. Petersburg, Russia. I was thinking of all of the St. Petersbergs in the world. Why is the location, country NOT in the headline? Dummies!
How much TNT is 200 grams?
About 1/2 pound (8 oz) 28.35 grams to oz
World War II hand grenades normally contained 50-60 grams
It was anti personnel device, the explosives used to hurl
metal shrapnel
What do we know?
Who is saying that it was equivalent to 200 g of TNT?
It is easy to determine what type of bomb it was due to the molecules from the explosion, but how can they say that it was that amount of explosives so quickly?
Obviously it was placed in order to reduce the damage, i.e. not typical of a terrorist attack.
A video is released https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=9&v=QAaq_oKTSxU watch it at the lowest speed.
Is this the right video?
Why is the camera moving in the beginning, to prevent it from taking pictures of his face?
Why do they blur his face?
The FSB frequently announces that it has foiled terrorist plots ahead of holidays and important events.
