I would do the same and fortunately the law backs you up where you live.

I left at about the same time. I had a new-born son and wanted to raise him in a safe and sane environment. Even then, I could see the writing on the wall...er...was that graffiti?

Yep. The four of us have that in common.

Being born and raised in California, I never thought I'd leave the state, but by the early '90s, I had enough. Funny thing (for Clamper), the wife and I moved to Havasu too. Enjoyed 11 years there, despite the godawful heat. My quality of life improved immeasurably by leaving the Hellhole of California. No regrets at all.

We still visit family in the Sacramento Valley where we're from. But there are unbelievable changes going on there. I won't enumerate all the negative changes -- it would take all morning -- but here is one interesting change: the town that I lived in was about 5-10% Hispanic in the 70s when I attended high school. Now it's 55%.

Stunning demographic change.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. First job in souther Cal lasted 3 months in 1970. Went back to Wisconsin and then moved to the Bay Area in 1981. Left in 1994 for here in New Hampshire. Nothing I left there I need to go back for. Now, I don’t even drink, so the wine can stay out there, too!

Someone said it succinctly, “Third World Values in a Third World State”.

I run into many Kalifornians here in Lake Havasu AZ who truly think they are conservatives. After talking with them for a bit, it becomes very apparent that measured by Arizona standards ... they are flaming liberals.

Tell me Mr. Clamper, if AZ is so damn conservative, how did McCain become your state Senator?

McLame is an old holdover and on the way out. Tucson Flagstaff and Sedona ... the liberal bastions of Arizona supported him. Every state has a liberal area. Don’t look now BUT Flake is gone. I’m campaigning for Dr Ward even now. In the meantime enjoy your skanktuary state. So what’s your excuse for the peoples republic Mr dragnet2. Those who live in glass houses ...

I see, so the major population centers in Arizona are the “Liberal bastions”. Just like CA, right clamper?

No ... Mesa 2nd biggest city in AZ was called the most conservative city in the country. Lake Havasu City was also recognized as such. So what’s your point ? If you are trying to compare the cesspool that Kalifornistan is to Arizona. Well that speaks for itself. Alabama ... a very conservative state just elected a leftist senator ... who ran as a Democrat. Though McLame is no conservative a lot of people thought he was and voted for him ... he’s no war hero but some uninformed people thought he was and voted accordingly. Yes Arizona has had a senator problem which BTW is being dealt with. But to compare Arizona to Kalifornistan is just BS

Not comparing CA. I’m comparing who votes for what in major population centers. And the trend clearly is major population centers such as Houston, Dallas, LA, SF, Denver, Chicago vote Democrat. This is trending the same way in AZ. In regards to major population centers, this trend is not disputable

Tell, how did Phoenix vote in 2016? Not the county, but the city.

Well ... I couldn’t find Phoenix stats but I do have Maricopa county 49.1% Trump. Phoenix / Mesa makes up most of the counties population anyway. Mohave county where I live was 73.7% Trump. I won’t argue that the major metro areas are full of demoncrats in any state. Phoenix being the 5/6 largest city in the country is in Mariposa county ... so is Mesa the second largest ... and the county went for Trump. In fact only 4 counties went for Hellary ... Pima/Santa Cruz (Tucson) Coconino (Flagstaff Sedona) and Apache. In Kalifornistan many central valley counties went for Hellary. Alpine Mono and Imperial counties also went for Hellary ... hardly large population centers. I’m glad there is still some sanity in King Kern Inyo Tulare and most of the North Eastern counties. So ... in most cases yes the major population centers can sway elections towards the demoncrats but there are MANY small counties in Kalif that also went for the demoncrats.

Without actual stats we both would be guessing that Phoenix voted for Hellary. However the county that Phoenix is in went for Trump. Since Phoenix has 43% of the counties population ... I would bet that if Phoenix went for Hellary ... it was close. Can you say that about SF or LA or San Diego ?

Come on, CA honors and rewards illegal aliens more than our veterans. The entire state is a sanctuary for illegal aliens. Do I need to say any more?

Again, I can assure you I not the one defending these freedom hating leftist screw worms running CA.

And Btw, it’s seems a bit odd the most populated city in AZ, and the election stats are no where to be found.

Gotta understand that Phoenix proper really isn’t that big. The Phoenix metro area is made up of smaller cities like Glendale Scottsdale Chandler Gilbert Buckeye Peroia ETC ... just like LA or SF. However in LA and SF the entire county went for Hellary ... Mariposa county went for Trump ... and I know you’re not defending the stinking liberals in Kalif

You are absolutely correct.

My Grandaddy used to say, if you see three stray dogs running together, shoot one. (Three makes a pack...)

Mono County is actually very conservative, the sheriff there issues concealed carry permits and is the only county in Calif where you can openly carry a gun outside of town limits.

The one exception in the county is the resort ski town of Mammoth Lakes, now full of rich imports from Southern Calif who mainly own second homes and vote there. Unfortunately, it has the largest population in the county. Think Vail, CO.

I’ve just read an article related to this dog attack problem at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3618659/posts. I think people might find this information helpful just in case they experience such incidents.
