Weeks before he started shooting, the Colorado gunman who killed one deputy and wounded four more unleashed a verbal barrage against Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock and his department.
Matthew Riehl, who was killed in the deadly New Year’s Eve shootout, went on a profane rant against the sheriff and other officers in a YouTube video entitled “Fire Sheriff Spurlock” that was posted on Dec. 13, The Associated Press reported.

It appears that toxicology tests on Riehl’s body would be expected. From what was published about his work history, he was recently affected by something.

Not unlike the Attacks on Police in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

Yep...mental illness. I listened to and watched several of his video rants and that guy was completely off his rocker.
It turns out that he was a medic in the Army. There’s a pretty good chance that he was the general hospital unit type (main post, not on patrols). In the videos, I saw rantings from the mind of someone most likely affected by drugs. Most mentally ill people have abused drugs for years.
