“...since LSU played in New Orleans in 2012, when it lost to Alabama.”
LSU lost only because Coach Miles insisted on playing his love interest Jefferson Jordan as quarterback.
Im glad he lost and glad it stings, he is such a prick.
Hear! Hear!
ESPN owns this ratings disaster - can’t wait to see the number of viewers outside of Alabama and Georgia. ESPN executives probably on suicide watch...
College isn’t the NFL. That Rose Bowl game deserved a high rating number. Hell of a lot better than watching USC and Ohio State if this was a old-fashioned Rose Bowl matchup. That game this year STUNK.
University of Central Florida should be the undisputed national champion. Hell, UCF beat the team that has already beaten BOTH Georgia and Alabama.
This is the game for second place.
The UCF Knights are #1.
This very well may be THE YEAR OF THE DAWG.
And, I’ve taken a strong disliking to Baker Mayfield.
That guy is Johnny Manziel OBNOXIOUS. Blech!!
That’s “Sabanteen”!! :)
The Big 10, Pacific Coast conference (as it was known then) was a result of to many southern teams coming and winning the Rose Bowl. Alabama’s (4-1-1 in RBs) 34-14 rout of USC (Trojans first RB loss) in 1946, was a factor. The agreement began in 1947, when the Rose Bowl was already 45 years old. The Big 10/Pac 12) deal is the norm with the exception of RB being a semifinal game every four years.
So what’s the big deal?
Yeah. That has been tough to watch. Rose Bowl magic is gone.
Im glad he lost and glad it stings, he is such a prick.
Johnny Manziel Part Deux?
Recent tradition (since 1948) is greatly missed.
21 - 0?
Hearing the stories of what Mayfield was yelling during the game, it seems to even out.
That Les Miles fascination with subpar quarterbacks still hurt LSU yesterday.

Would be a lot less stress if we played that schedule. I don’t want to take anything away from them because they had a great season. I don’t believe they got much consideration because of their schedule.

Do not give props to Georgia’s offense.
As good as Oklahoma’s offense has been all year, their defense has been just as awful. Especially their DB’s.
I’ve noticed this trend for the past 15 years or so. Part of it is the offensive schemes, but Too many teams and coaches put all their great athletes on offense, and their defense is an afterthought. It starts in the high school ranks. When you give up 30 points, and you consider it a “good” defensive game, something just isn’t right.
No, I don’t believe I did, I just didn’t say outright that we gave the game away on missed tackles. Even that would be generous to OU’s porous excuse for a defense in the 3rd. They left holes big enough to drive an M1A1 through.
We can get rid of Mike Stoops, but the problem was there before him. Brent Venables had pretty much the same problem. It drives me nuts.
You have a strong point!
