I sat on some plane this past summer...actually had pulled up to the ramp and was ready to release passengers....then we waited, and waited, and waited. Must have been 30 minutes before they opened the door and started letting folks off the plane. No explanation.
Two months ago, I got off an international flight, and they had two border-entry guys at the end of the docking ramp, wanting every single passenger to present their passport there. We were backed up and it took probably an hour to unload the 300 passengers.
I was once on a flight that was delayed for hours due to weather. (You could see the tornado on the runway so the delay was legit.)
The flight deplaned and most of the passengers would be spending an unplanned night in a hotel before getting on a morning flight.
(I missed a funeral)
So, the airline decided that with all that, our flight would be a perfect opportunity to train a new jetway operator. Yea, they were stat stupid.
