Brady was behind Brian Griese most of the time at Michigan.
Coach B picked Brady because he was the best player available at that point in the 6th round. He didn’t need a QB and had no inkling of how good Brady would be.
Coach B did trade up from the seventh round because he said sometimes you get a good player in the sixth but almost never in the seventh. I guess he was right.
And Brady’s played with that chip on his shoulder his entire career, and that chip is still there.
