Hawaii missile scare, your theories?

Posted on 01/15/2018 4:09:32 PM PST by MNDude

Rush repeated today what we everyone has been saying, what we are being told does not add up.

To add to the strangeness, we just learned that the Clinton's were in Hawaii to meet with their senators. Coincidence?

What is your theory?

...First, I would have fired this incompetent immediately. The private sector does not allow for errors of this magnitude...

Incompetence in government is rewarded with a transfer to another department, bureau, agency, commission, or other bureaucratic department. Apparently that was the case here.

I will respond here as I did on the Rush thread.

I run a mass notification system for a large medical campus. While out text message system is direct and not “broadcast”, the front end is virtually the same.

Events are listed in a drop down menu. The process to trigger one goes like this: password and user name to log on. You can see the events you are authorized to see.

You select the event you want. Then you enter another user name and password.

The event screen comes up. You are asked to verify the message. You must select the proper response. If the event is a standard message you are not allowed to change the text. (We can always change the text in ours.).

You press “activate.” Then you get the screen that reads: “Do you really want to activate this event.”

If someone is doing this by rote, picking the wrong event is pretty simple. And then the dolt would just click through. Then it goes out.

In our system, we could immediately cancel an event—that would limit the distribution, but with broadband connections that would need to be a quick cancellation.

In our system, we could easily go back to the same event and immediately change the text to cancel the event. Evidently, the HEMA folks can’t be trusted. Or they don’t have a “cancel code” event in their system.

That is how it happens. This was laziness and inattention. There are plenty of chances to stop the process once you are putting it in motion.

For those of us who use these systems daily, you learn quickly how to cancel a code. You don’t want doctors scrambling to false alarms more than once.

This was a very cruel political overt act. It was treason. Children were being dropped in sewers by crying parents. We want the truth. We want punishment.

I’ve read that a couple of places. That’s a theory I can accept better than any other.

I’d be tempted to do the same...Shows just how pathetic our defenses are.

First - there is no “BUTTON”

They have a computer screen.

When they want to run a test alert (non broadcast) a drop down menu appears. They select Test media alert.

The mistake is they have two choices on the drop down menu

1 TEST MEDIA ALERT
2 MEDIA ALERT (This is the one that sends out the message)

It was reported the person made the wrong choice.

On my computer my RENAME and DELETE menu choices are next to each other. Every so often when renaming a file I accidentally click on DELETE - Now here is the thing - when I do I get a dialog box asking me if I am sure I want to delete. I realize my mistake and say no and click the correct icon.

So if the system does indeed have a drop down menu with two choice and the programmer did not provide for a possible mistake they are also responsible for what occurred.

Since we know governments lie to cover their own butts all the time there is no way to know at this time the information as described above is even true. I think in time we will get more answers since the citizens of Hawaii will demand it.

It was a false flag, hoping to draw the President into nuclear war with N. Korea.

I would hope the Pacific Command does not need to rely on the Hawaii government to communicate with its commander in chief.

In any case, given the adversary, launch on warning is not necessary (except to shoot down the incoming). The President would have ample time to verify the source of the attack and survey the damage before ordering the merciless counterattack.

A more interesting case to consider is the proper response if Kim were to launch a missile that is successfully intercepted before reaching Hawaii.

Some libtard did it to alert everyone “how dangerous the world has become under President Trump.”

Three libtards, at least. Nobody making $18 get to do this by himself. Two or three more people above him have to sign off, and they have to co-ordinate with military sources.

First I heard of this in NJ was from some guy criticizing Trump for not caring while he was on the golf course (on a Saturday). His aides didn't care either, apparently. Or maybe no one sent the alert information to people in Washington, for good reason.

We use MailChimp sometimes to send out press releases on behalf of clients.

You have to jump through so many hoops just to hit that final send button. Not to mention even the number of people that need to sign off on a final. And I’m talking for mundane things.

I just can’t believe that the steps/protocol/standards for sending out ballistic missle warning are less than those used for sending an email using MailChimp.

It may have initially been an accident. But it lasted longer SO All eyes were trained on NK to see what their reaction would be. Where were they going ? What were they saying? Did they move troops? The leader? To where?

Much information gathered?
