As the owner of five consecutive Rangers -— how different from my 2011 will this new “Ranger” be??? I’m concerned that this “new” and “improved” Ford “Ranger” will be a disappointment since I KNOW what a Ranger is supposed to be. Any help or ideas???
It’s essentially an F-150 Mini-me.........................
It has been manufactured and sold in something like 140+ countries outside "The America's". Perhaps an Australian, New Zealand, etc etc truck blog might have a gent or gal that will give you their impression of it.
I have seen Proto's running around SE MI for a number of years now, and IMHO it is a looker.
The only pictures they’re showing at ford dot com indicate a full, four door crew cab and a 4 foot bed.
That’s not a Ford Ranger. It’s a joke.
See my post #29. This was before I read any replies.
.
Count on it being a disappointment for sure!
(and way over-priced for what it is)

I can’t read the article because I’m using Adblock, and the site won’t allow that. But I’ve been told by someone supposedly in the know (a guy who works at a Ford dealership) that the new Ranger will be noticeably larger than the old one.
If that’s true, I’m going to be mighty disappointed. One of the reasons I’ve been waiting is that I want a small truck. if I wanted a big truck, I would have bought a F150 by now.
If it’s like the big Ford pickups, it will have a body made out of beer can quality aluminum and plastic.
I had a 98 1/2, 2001, and 2004 Ranger. All suicide doors and awesome trucks. The 2004 had a Pioneer stereo that was so good sometimes I couldnt get out of the truck.
