That’s the annual cost increase. Keeps going up a billion or so every year. I sure hope our federal government isn’t investing anything into this.

CA taxpayers - those that haven’t left yet. I wonder how much money the illegals will be taxed for it.

They'll never finish it for less than $150 billion. See the recent history of another big public works project in California: From $250 Million to $6.5 Billion: The Bay Bridge Cost Overrun. Almost 30 times the first estimates!

Frankly, I don't think it will ever be completed. There is no economic need, it provides zero benefits to the state, and electricity will cost far too much to run it with the California infatuation for zero "carbon footprint." Businesses and people will be fleeing the state. Besides, I can grab a seat on one of the hundred daily flights between the Bay Area and the LA Area and they leave every 30 minutes or so.
