One explanation is that the Viqueens game plan assumed Foles couldn’t throw deep, and by the time they figured out he could and a couple longish passes weren’t a fluke, it was too late.

Actually, that makes sense. I really wonder if the Vikes defense simply let down their guard because they didn’t think much of second-stringer Foley. I don’t think Foley fooled just the Vikes, I think Foley fooled everybody.

I didn’t really think of that, but that makes sense.

“Foley fooled ‘em.” Fulton’s folly. “Foley’s folly fooled them”. Could go on and on.
