I was listening to Glenn Beck this month and he had an interesting topic. He said something is coming that is going to change everything as we know it and that he would explain what it is after the commercials.
He said that with new AI technology it will be simple to make fake videos and fake audios showing anyone saying anything or doing anything. Unlike Photoshop, no expert could ever tell the difference from real videos. He said that since there are so many videos of him out there that it will be very easy to make a fake video showing him doing things he never did.
Does anyone know if such technology really exists now? I have never seen anything to do anything even close to this yet.

Who could tell? There is nothing he could be seen doing in a video that would make me suspect for an instant that it was fake.
To what end? To make him look silly? And why would anyone spend that kind of money to do something he does perfectly well himself?
Yes, this is coming.
Basically they use the same tech they did in star wars vii for the deceased actor who played grand moff tarkin. They basically make a digital mask of the persons face over a real person saying/mouthing the words they want that person to say.
At this point I would guess it isnt 100% perfect and that as a cgi effect it has some telltale signs an authentic video image dosnt have.
I can watch this one again and again and again!

You raise a good question. Other than eyeballing it how does one know for sure something is CGI or not once it is processed and produced in a movie format?
