Lots of non-mass sports are that way.

Try getting on a fixed gear bicycle and doing laps at a velodrome.

People that don’t do a sport often have no real clue about the difficulty involved.

There are a lot of target shooters here. How often are you exasperated with people that have no idea how difficult that is?

I don’t understand curling, but I bet the players have floors you could eat off of.

I don’t mind curling. I just always imagined it as something invented by a bunch of guys on an ice-covered field behind a tavern.

The old “Is Bowling a Sport” argument...

But with cooler pants and hotter chicks...

Total respect for curling after living a decade in a country where it was played. Schwingen, not as much. To me the sport of schwingen still looks like aggressive homosexual latency.

No intention to go outside anywhere there is ice around.

We got hooked on curling during one of the Olympics. It is one of those sports they used to NEVER show.

You want sports;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eton_wall_game

Something like rugby played against a brick wall. No goals have been scored in 108 years.

Irish road bowling

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_road_bowling

It’s like, well... nothing else. Sounds like a good bar sport for St. Patty’s Day. Occasionally played in some American cities.

Very popular in Duluth, Minnesota. For casual players, it’s got the same kind of social purpose as softball in summer.

No way, it’s too dangerous. A friend of mine tried it once, fell on the ice and fractured his pelvis.........

I participated in curling in high school. I really enjoyed the sport.

Unfortunately, I moved to that shithole, California, before it became a shithole, and the best I could find was ice hockey.

Married a woman from that shithole who told me “we don’t want to play ice hockey!”

Now, I am living in New Hampshire, with curling nearby, but I am pushing 71 and my knees and shoulders...thanks to 32 years in the Army, won’t allow me to participate...or I sure as hell would.

It is a great sport!

I think Twister should be a women’s sport in the Olympics. They could play it in the sand... and use the volleyball girls...

It’s a really cool sport. Last team scored on gets shot rock is one of the finest rules in all of sports, it completely alters the strategy of the game. Not to mention the sheer mechanics of sliding a heavy rock that far with any accuracy at all. And it’s one of the few sports at the Olympics where the women participants are actual women not teenage girl that have had their puberty delayed. All around great sport, highlight of the winter games.

Every four years, I watch Curling. It is mesmerizing, at least to me. I have been watching Olympic curling for a while, and I still don’t understand the rules. But, I watch it anyway. Very soothing.
