[history]
The Santa Monica is one of several faults running through highly populated areas of Southern California to generate interest and concern from seismic experts and government officials. The fault zone cuts through the heart of the Westside, straddling or paralleling Santa Monica Boulevard through Century City and Westwood before veering due west, with segments running into Brentwood, Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades.

Santa Monica, pray for us.

Yikes! I just bought earthquake insurance and am hiring a contractor to bolt the house down. They keep saying we should expect "the big one" in the next 30 years...and we've been in our house 35 years now.

No, the people in California don’t pray to the earthquake faults.
This isn’t Hawaii, where they pray to the volcanos.

Obviously Donald Trump's fault. He is trying to punish the Clé de Peau Beauté crowd, all of whom hate him.

Is this in chat?
We didn’t learn about this in the 60’s in elementary school?

It won’t be “Breaking” news until the things start breaking.

And? When there is an earthquake in that vicinity, I will believe it. Otherwise, just a few desk jockeys trying to justify their employment..

You have it wrong. I’m Catholic. I figger if the Saints have the faults named after them, perhaps the saints could put in some extra prayers to the Man Upstairs to keep their namesake faults from acting up.

Don’t know how close you are but hope you got some prepper supplies for whatever reason. Of course, I say that to everyone since about 2008.

I always remember that God was willing to spare the thousands of wicked in Sodom for the sake of 10 who were deemed righteous. I do feel this is why California has been spared the feared mega quake. It also tells me in terms of sin and vice we have not seen anything yet.

Well, this Rodeo Drive fault line is called active though the last tremor along it happened 1000 years before Jesus was born. So Im not worried about the shopping district there.
Yes, we have some basics should one of the more recently active fault lines open up.

There are lots of good Christian people here in Southern California...but sadly for every 1 of them there are probably 6 liberals/commies/progressives/socialists

“...hope you got some prepper supplies for whatever reason.”
My son got back from leading a church youth event where they went snow sledding. He came home late and gave me a big hug. Then said “Dad - I hope I never gave you any crap about the emergency bag you made up for my car. I forgot my snow boots and only had my low sneakers on. Then I remembered that bag and figured that was worth a look. Waterproof work boots!!”
