Blurrily. That’s all they did was provide an ‘outline’ blur which was much lighter than the ‘solid’ area giving the ‘illusion’ that you were seeing through clothes.

This is about as cheap as it gets:
FLIR ONE for $199, to plug into a smartphone's USB port.

I recently purchased the cheapest of ATN Corp's thermal rifle scopes for $2,000. I like it a lot, but they have a better model for $4,300 I wish I had.

But toward the end of the search of the couple’s house, the Child Protective Services workers showed up and discussed the case with police. One of the workers, anticipating child exploitation charges to be brought, decided to take the children into emergency temporary custody. Though she lacked a court order or warrant, her supervisor signed off on the decision.

The L16 camera is $1950. I am going to have to know a lot more about this camera and the photos it takes before I spring that many Hamiltons for a compact camera.

It sounds like fascinating technology but that is a lot of cash.

Raster scan xray systems exist. Incorporating the technology into a camera sized package would be quite the trick.

FLIR ONE

I WANT, I WANT!
Most of the concealed piping in my house is older than I am. I like to be ready for problems.

The comments section is quite illuminating.

Like the plumber who was strapping his thermal imager to his phone with rubber bands, the Flir One 3rd Gen sees not only the thermal image but (even better) it superimposes it onto a video image that everyone can understand without special training. That image (and data) can be recorded, stored and emailed/texted in real time to a professional repair contractor, possibly saving you an expensive service call charge for an on-site estimate. By the way you can record the image as a still, a video or as a time-lapse.

Did someone get pissed off because we have too much privacy?

For some unexplainable reason, I don’t think this is fun.

Many interesting reviews of the L16 camera are out.

If I was still deep into photography, I would have one.

My dreams of digital photography actually took the fun out of it.

I traded my dark room for an IMSAI, downhill from there.

For the keen observer, there have always been ‘tells’.

The tech just dumbs it down and speeds it up.

The only way to really dig into your photos is to connect them to a computer, wait an interminably long time as the enormous files (they're 100-plus MB apiece)

I don’t think your IMSAI is going to handle that kind of JPG.

Those kind of photos are going to eat up 1 terabyte hard disk real quick.

FLIR cameras for firefighters to detect hot spots behind/inside walls, etc. also detects people behind walls, etc.

That was about 40 years back, and we would still be waiting.

Simple two color (green and black) fractals used to run overnight or longer.
And that may have been after I moved up to a Z-80.
