I both listen to and watch baseball, depending on where I am and what I am doing. My main issue about listening on the radio is missing great catches and plays.

“He made an unbelievable catch!” or makes me want to see it.

I was in my car driving to do some errands; and, I had the radio on for the Mariners' game.

Dave Niehaus was still alive and broadcasting at that time on the day that Franklin Gutierrez made an unbelieveable catch. Niehaus was so excited about that catch that he said Gutierrez was:

"Death to Flying Things" – first to call Franklin Gutiérrez by his current nickname[7]

Actually, I think at the time, he said: Death to ALL Flying things. It was an amazing catch; and, I couldn't wait to get home and see a replay of that catch.
