Not sure why things are being drawn out so slowly and tediously unless it's because things are sooooo complex and sooooooo fraught with hazards on all sides--serious hazards--that it just takes a LOT of behind the scenes stuff for every bit that is or likely to become public ... to be the least bit wise and constructive in lasting ways.

Q and company know that they are dealing with some of the most powerful officials in the country, who have the power of the Press with them to cover up, lie, and distort in a way that would have turned Goebbels (not Godwin's Law, his *job* was propaganda minister, remember?) green with envy.

They are dotting every i and crossing every t. And they are going at a slow enough pace that they can maintain opsec and prevent leaks.

As well as checking their flanks for counterattacks.
