I’m not sure the Lord cares who wins a game.

I think of those very words when I see players kneeling in prayer during a tight game. I hope they're praying for the children who are fighting cancer as well as other horrid diseases or are orphans, and for our sick and homeless veterans.

I understand the Lord is concerned about every part of our lives. But, somehow, I don't think fervent prayer over tight ball games is the best use of prayer time.
