Indeed. Germany kept most of its socialist laws enacted by Hitler. Georges Marshall was a traitor, a Sovietist who promoted what would become the EU at the expense of the US

I always become wary when proposals and events are characterized as “the greatest ever” and their promoters praised as saints.
Yes, Europe was certainly destroyed after WWII. Great advances in production would naturally occur because once you hit zero, the only way to go is up.
I simply don’t know the details of the Marshall plan to say how effective it really was. I guarantee you that journalists writing about it today know even less.
