I'm tired of Windows repeatedly updating my pc when I'm trying to get momentum to work.

I used to have Windows 10. Windows kept trying unsuccessfully to update to the latest version. Last week, after the latest failure, my poor computer simply refused to boot up and just kept hanging in the attempt to revert to the previous one.
I took the machine to the Geek Squad. They must have had no success because the twerps, I mean geeks, formatted my drive and loaded Windows 7. It was annoying at first but I'm learning to cope.

I just disabled it. I run most programs from icons on my desktop screen, and don’t notice much change in the user interface from one version to another. (I updated because I want to keep getting security updates.)

You can schedule those updates to only install at certain times when you’re not likely to be using the computer - like in the middle of the night.
