I don't know why, but it reminded me of this old Outpost.com commercial from the 1999 Super Bowl that enraged animal rights people, but the rest of us laughed our butts off (because we understood it was a joke): Gerbils fired from cannon!

Har. Pissing off animal rights activists is like the best thing you can do. I happen to support animal rights, but this is funny. Those people are just deluded.

I was listening to the Laura Ingraham show once shortly after 9/11. She was interviewing the president of PETA. That person said that the only good thing about 9/11 is that there are less people eating chickens now.

I also recall a story on some news station about an interesting case in London where they were finding dead gerbils on a street corner. Finally they set up a surveillance and found that some crazy guy was throwing them out of his apartment window. He was charged with animal cruelty when he could have just fed them to his snake or something. I wonder what the pet store owner thought of this guy buying all these gerbils? He must have an apartment full of gerbils?
