Precisely, and this is basic capitalism. As long as the parks are at near 100% capacity; the gate prices are still below what the market will bear. They could double or triple prices, and still fill the parks. Unfortunately this is the reality of the situation.
Since Disney struck out on purchasing Angel Stadium they ought to buy up some of the decaying neighborhoods that are closer to their park. Maybe they already are.
I know people who go there, say high prices help keep out riff Raff and trouble makers.
They say that cheaper parks such as Six Flags parks attract a rough crowd.
