What ‘New’ Cracker Barrel?................
LOL, I am the same only reversed, no hope for the right ear. They recommend a BiCross hearing aid setup where the deaf side gets a transmitter and the other side gets a amplifier received but it’s big bucks. At least for me!
Exactly what ever happened to all these screaming buffaloes?
Give me a convincing answer and I just might move back East.
Otherwise, forget it!
CA....
Oh I believe it. Just stating that the same story comes out every six months. The media doesn’t do actual news. These do scare stories.
I loved Henny Penny in the James Bond movies.
BWAHAHAHA!
*choke* That was Miss MONEYpenny! LOL!

“...geodesists with UNAVCO, say the strain signal is larger than would be expected if the crust under Yellowstone were completely solid.
No - I get that. And I expect someday it WILL explode as it has in the past. Just like someday (sooner rather than later I think) we will get another 9.0 earthquake in the Pacific Northwest.
But the above quote is just so silly, and obvious.
You sure? “James, make sure the sky doesn’t fall on your head” sounds really familiar...
Maybe you are replying to the wrong person?
You were mentioning about the scare tactics of the press. And I quoted the article about how the strain signal is larger than would be expected if the crust under Yellowstone were completely solid.
“larger strain” does sure sound scary. But of course the earth below Yellowstone isn’t completely solid - it hasn’t been for a million+ years. So of course it will have a larger strain that solid earth.
I wonder why this story DOES keep coming up year after year? Is it just to sell newspapers? Are they new reporters that forgot about the story from last year? I imagine the scientists make some calls to get the word out about their NEW findings in order to make the press and bring awareness (and funding) to their pet projects.
“I wonder why this story DOES keep coming up year after year? Is it just to sell newspapers?”
That’s my thought.I just wonder why it keeps getting published. But, that’s the way the media works. You see one article criticizing Trump and then you’ll see at least 15 more saying the same thing. They just repeat each other.
Japan might well be a more likely candidate. Found a six mile diameter lava dome 2000 feet high, residing in the caldera of the previous Kikai super-volcanic eruption site.

The one in Victorville, right off the 15 freeway, on the way to Vegas.
