Untold riches of AI await!
However will “Black Hat” AI be used to manipulate the Stock Market?
To: ShadowAce
They should make a distinction between fancy decision trees (is that AI?) and machine consciousness (definite AI). The thing is, we have one of those things and not the other.

47 percent chose the robot doc. This is the stat I just do not understand. I would much prefer a human doctor.

No we're not bro. I think the fears of SkyNet / Terminator are overblown as long as enough human expertise is maintained specific to how these algorithms are created / updated / executed / secured so that enough human beings and not just a limited number truly understand the algorithms.
The danger of AI is really in NOT ENOUGH people understanding the algorithms, how they work, how to break/fix them etc..
We need far more STEM graduates with BRAINS to do so, than we have today. I'm working on a few AI projects at the bank and it's really interesting stuff. Some AI capabilities are built into the product I described for you two months ago (that I filed a patent for) as well.
AI is the future. Embrace it, learn it, don't be afraid of it. We have to control it. That's the challenge.

It is nothing but arrogance to think that one can replicate the human mind. It is much too complex to be simulated by a computer program.
Developing useful systems is what it’s all about. However, creating a little human in an electronic computation system is not going to happen.

I like your attitude but I have my reservations. How do you control something that is 5 times as smart as you and doubling its own intelligence every year or so? Assuming we ever get to that point, not saying we are anywhere near that now.
