A recent study suggested that the human brain is not fully developed in respect of emotion and logic until age 25.
Are we going to raise the legal alcohol drinking age to 25?
Are we going to raise the legal driving age to 25?
Are we going to raise the legal voting age to 25?
Are we going to raise the legal age of consent to 25?
Are we going to raise the legal age to enlist in the Armed Forces to 25?
Are we going to raise the legal age to sign a contract to 25?
Are we going to raise the legal age to get a Commercial Pilot’s License to 25?
Are we going to raise the legal age to get a Commercial Driver’s License to 25?
Well, you get where I am going with this: Are we going to raise the legal age to own a handgun, a rifle, a shotgun, a knife, a hammer, a crowbar, etc. etc. to 25?
No, we are not going to do any of that. What we have to do is start raising good citizens, such that by the time they are 18, they will act as adults and can be treated as adults.
We have done it before, and we can do it again!
I guarandamtee you that 18 year olds in 1915 were more mature than 18 year olds are today!
