I think I saw on NBC the scrap value of a gold medal is only about $500, for a silver only about $300. Those are huge medals, so it’s a lot of filler. More so with the gold than silver it would seem. And the bronze are worth nada.
Gee, I thought the Olympics were supposed to be all about sportsmanship.

The IOC should say “That’s fine, OK”. And then take the medal away and delete her name from the record books.

The US Men’s Basketball team that lost to the Soviets in the 1972 final, didn’t even bother showing up to the podium, and to this day, still haven’t collected their Silver medals.
Olympic committee should stop her of the medal and institute Olympic ban....on her , her kids, and grandkids...

These two women hockey teams are the two best teams in international play. It’s one team or the other that usually wins.
But it’s been Canada in the Olympics since 1998 so this win is huge for American hockey.
And these women DO NOT LIKE ONE ANOTHER! Not at all!
The men will sulk for a while and then move on but the women hold grudges for a long, long, long time.
