At least one coach and another male teacher ran in to save kids unarmed while the cops waited outside. They had courage and no guns. They both died unarmed as they put themselves between the kids and the psychopath.
Coral Springs police couldn’t believe the Deputies were still outside the building when they arrived.

Let’s not forget that Hillary Clinton spent time in Coward County before the election. I’m sure fraud was involved, but those in offices there are huge Clinton supporters. Not sure this has any direct connection or not, but, it makes me wonder.

Yep. Peterson took up a position. Apparently, other BSO took a position. I don't have any reason to think they are cowards. Following orders is more likely. Explains why when the Coral Springs officers show up, the BSO officer tells them to stay outside because he is repeating his order.
They listened to the noise of the rifle firing and the screams of the dying children as they waited. Apathy is the name of the game for the political/regulator class, and everyone knows it.

This same thing would happen here in rural conservative Idaho. Our conservative pro-gun Sheriff is a political animal, not a man of action. Our Sheriff Department, as such, is also a very corrupt political organization. If a shooter attacked our local school, the Sheriff responders would set up camp outside and wait for a full response. Same as the useless Broward Sheriff responders.
I would stake my life that as city cops arrived they would gear up and immediately enter the building and neutralize any threats. They feel justifiable non-politicized ownership of the well being of the kids of this community. The Sheriff Department feels the need to be politically correct. This in the heartland of flyover red United States.
Like I said, I would stake my life on our city cops, and I don't even live within the city limits.
