Papa John’s on Tuesday said it has mutually agreed to end its official league sponsorship, months after company founder and former CEO John Schnatter publicly criticized the NFL’s handling of national anthem protests. Steve Ritchie, who replaced Schnatter as CEO in January, said on a fourth quarter earnings call that Papa John’s will shift its marketing dollars toward star players and its 22 partner teams within the NFL.

Still retaining sponsorship of players and teams, just not the NFL Inc. To me, a rather minor adjustment in strategy.

How about KFC or Church’s Fried Chicken to “fill the empty void”?

Maybe Antifa or BLM can start sponsoring the NFL? All three organizations share the same contempt for the USA. Would seem like a good fit.

Amen. Major League Baseball, which will continue their Papa Johns sponsorship, does a lot better job of controlling the Colin Kapernick wannabes if, indeed, there are any in their ranks.

I recall seeing the national anthem performed post season and one person of color was acting less than serious and rocking on his feet. Another person of color standing beside him delivered a sharp elbow in the ribs and he immediately straightened up.

What was even funnier about this episode is that neither one was an American, but they apparently understood the rich opportunity they'd been given here.

The Libs specialize in the production and distribution of Crabapples, Pity-Puddings & Sour Grapes. Maybe there’s a market for those with NFL fans.

Papas Johns is the best delivery pizza around here. Domino’s still tastes like cardboard. When I get lazy, it’s Papa Johns.
