Why was your 2 y/o being yelled at?
Some kids get bored and like to kick the seats in front of them. I’ve had that experience. I used a calm voice and asked that child to “Please stop kicking the seat because I’m old and needed to take a nap.” The kid stopped kicking.
The mom had earphones in listening to a movie. Otherwise, it’s always best to speak to the adult, not the child.

I'm betting either spoiled brattery or retardation.

On a flight from Austin to Dallas, I had a child kicking the back of my 💺 seat. I turned around & said to the mother, “Your child is kicking my seat, please stop her.” The mom said, “she’s only 4.” My response was, “yes & that’s why I’m talking to you, the adult.” The kicking stopped.
