Men don’t get routine medical tests as frequently as women, right?

They used to get PSA tests frequently, but then the powers that be decided that they didn’t want to scare men unnecessarily, so they aren’t paid for by health insurance anymore, so men don’t get them as often. A relative in Britain, whose father died of prostate cancer, was told by the NHS that he didn’t need PSA screening. This relative is 66 and doesn’t know whether or not to fight for the tests, as the NHS won’t pay for it anymore. And Britons are conditioned to believe ‘if the NHS says you don’t need it and they aren’t going to pay for it, then you must not really need it’.
